Human regulation
is measurable.

Defiant Frameworks Labs is an independent research and technology lab developing the first formal physics-based framework for modeling human regulatory state — treating behavior not as mystery, but as a deterministic, measurable system.

Founded in Bend, Oregon. Built without institutional gatekeeping. Driven by the conviction that the tools people actually need have to be built by people who actually understand the problem from the inside.

Our work spans theoretical framework development, applied AI architecture, and direct deployment into real-world clinical and operational environments.

01
Physics-grade rigor
Human regulatory state obeys predictable laws. We model them formally — not metaphorically.
02
Systems-first thinking
Behavior emerges from load, bandwidth, debt, and threshold dynamics. We track all of it.
03
Non-pathologizing language
Physics terms, not diagnostic labels. The framework belongs to the person, not the institution.
04
Deployed in the real world
From hospital operations to individual co-regulation — frameworks that survive contact with reality.

What we're
building.

Core Framework
PRISM
Predictive Regulatory & Integrity State Model

A deterministic kernel modeling human regulatory state across 380+ traits, seven computational layers, and a formal six-machine architecture. The theoretical backbone of everything we build.

Applied AI
Tori
Conversational AI Co-Regulator

A PRISM-native AI built specifically for neurodivergent users. Tori reads regulatory state in real time and responds from inside the user's attractor state — not from outside it.

Workforce Stability & Load Analysis

PRISM-derived models applied to institutional workforce dynamics — identifying tipping points, quantifying strain, and designing minimal recovery interventions for hospitals and operations teams.
